The Saker: Today I want to introduce you to a book whose importance simply cannot be overstated: The Killing of William Browder: Deconstructing Bill Browder’s Dangerous Deception by Alex Krainer. I consider that book as a *must read* for any person trying to understand modern Russia and where the new Cold War with Russia came from.
Most of you must have heard of the Magnitsky Act or even maybe of William Browder himself. You probably know that Browder was a British businessman who founded Hermitage Capital Management investment fund which Sergei Magnitsky represented as a lawyer and auditor. Finally, you must have heard that Magnitsky died (was killed) in a Russian jail while Browder was placed by the Russian government on a black list and denied entry. For the vast majority of you, that is probably as much thought as you ever gave this topic and I have to confess that this is also true for me. I never bothered really researching this issue because I knew the context so well that this, by itself, gave me a quasi-certitude that I knew what had happened. Still, when I read this book I was amazed at the fantastically detailed account Krainer provides to what is really an amazing story.
In his book Alex Krainer offers us the truth and truly shows us how deep the rabbit hole goes.
Interestingly, Krainer himself admits that he was initially rather suspicious of Putin and very sympathetic to Bill Browder.
Paradoxically, it is Bill Browder’s book, Red Notice: A True Story of High Finance, Murder, and One Man’s Fight for Justice, which triggered Krainer’s internal alarms and which made him dig deep into this story. I won’t give you all the details here, Krainer does it better than I ever could, and you really need to get a copy of his book.
I will just say here that the book begins by a meticulous and sophisticated debunking, piece by piece, not only of all the lies contained in Browder’s book, but also of the sophisticated propaganda techniques used by Browder to demonize Putin, Russia and the Russian people. Far from being this person who “believes in Russia”, Krainer shows that Browder is a hate-filled racist bigot whose hate for everything Russian is as visceral as it is ever present.
Next, Krainer provides a most needed and extremely detailed presentation of what he calls “the missing context”, that is the vicious plundering of Russia by Russian oligarchs and Western financiers during the 1990s. As somebody who lived through these years I can attest that Krainer’s description is accurate. His only mistake is when he indicates that while the official figure of people killed in the 1993 is only 187 killed, the real figure “Unofficial figures might have been as many as ten times higher”. A well-infomed and high-place source of mine in the Russian special forces told me that the internal government estimates (no real tally was ever made, nor was it possible to make one anyway) placed the real number of people killed for the Moscow region in the course of the week following the crackdown at no less than 5’000 for the Moscow region. But other than that, Krainer is spot on.
Having provided the context, Krainer goes on to explain what Vladimir Putin did once he came to power. This section is also crucial because it shows the real causes of the hatred Browder and his likes have for Putin: the man basically made them lose their grip and Russia.
The book concludes by a warning: Browder and the cabal of Russia-hating international financiers standing behind him are planning to turn his book [Red Notice] into a Hollywood blockbuster. To quote the book,
At this time Browder is not yet a household name among the American or European people but I suspect that this might change if his plans to turn “Red Notice” into a Hollywood film come to fruition. In an interview with “The Jewish Chronicle” Browder said that, “The most important next step in the campaign is to adapt the book into a Hollywood feature film … I have been approached by many film makers and spent part of the summer in LA meeting with screenwriters, producers and directors to figure out what the best constellation of players will be on this”.
Is it not telling that Browder himself calls this a “campaign”? It reminds me of a very similar campaign American-Jewish bankers waged against Russia just before the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917.
At a time when Guy Mettan’s excellent book “Creating Russophobia: From the Great Religious Schism to the anti-Putin Hysteria” (whose original French language version I reviewed here) has finally come out in English, it is essential to own at least one copy of Alex Krainer’s book. Krainer, who is a Croat national, has already lived through the outbreak of one war as a result of which his country has become a NATO colony. His book is a stark warning to all of us and a meticulous analysis of how the AngloZionists start wars. Get the book, read it, and then give it to your friends. This is one of the most important books to have come out in the recent years (and an excellent read too!).
The Saker
About the Author: Alex Krainer is a hedge fund manager based in Monaco. He (occasionally) writes at www.thenakedhedgie.com.
Back cover of the book:
In 2015, Bill Browder published “Red Notice” – purportedly a true story about his experience in Russia between 1996 and 2005. Upon closer scrutiny however, his story doesn’t add up and demonstrably fails to stand up in a court of law. Nonetheless, on the dubious strength of that story, Browder has been able to lobby the U.S. Congress to pass the Magnitsky Act in 2012 which needlessly damaged the relations between the U.S. and Russia. Mark Twain warned us long ago about the “loud little handful,” shouting for war. Bill Browder has been one of the loudest and most effective among that loud little handful clamoring for a new Cold War with Russia. Where he failed in courts of law, his campaign of relentless demonization of Russia and of Vladimir Putin has been successful in the court of public opinion in the West. As humanity finds itself on the precipice of yet another great war, what we need are bridges of mutual understanding and constructive engagement, not demonization. This book’s modest hope is to contribute to the construction of those bridges for I believe that the people of the United States and Russia, to whom this book is dedicated, hold the keys to the future of humanity.
Praise for the book:
Author and film maker Roman Latkovic: “I am extremely impressed,… if you kept this up you’ll be the new F. William Engdahl. And more. Your background is different, you have more heart in it and you could be more powerful. Congratulations from the heart, I’m jealous of the energy you invested in this book. Absolutely monumental work.”
Andrei Nekrasov today wrote: “once again, congratulations on your extraordinary achievement. I will continue to praise you over time, because, I am certain, your book will be very influential and pivotal in the process of exposing one of the century’s biggest hoaxes. Moreover, it puts it into the essential historic and even philosophical context. And that’s how I’ve come to see the Browder phenomenon.”
Inside title page:
Bill Browder, the false crusader for justice and human rights and the self-styled No. 1 enemy of Vladimir Putin has perpetrated a brazen and dangerous deception upon the Western world. This book traces the anatomy of this deception, unmasking the powerful forces that are pushing the Western world toward yet another great war with Russia.
Dedication:
To the people of Russia and of the United States who together, hold the keys to the future of humanity.

This is a compelling read and we are fortunate to get the first view. Alex’s book has literally been published on Amazon for about 3 hours. The Kindle edition will be free to download for the next week, from Monday onward.
If one compares and contrasts Alex’s well researched case, to the
testimony given by Bill Browder to the Senate Judiciary Committee, it is
a plunge into ‘games people play’ and cognitive dissonance. Dangerous Deception is clearly the accurate title for
this work.

Robert Parry’s piece on the Nekrasiv movie is very informative—providing more
of the Browder background than this review by The Saker.
It was the first I read of the whole Magnitizky scam.
Also, Nekrasov himself followed a similar trajectory to Krainer:
At first making his movie to expose Browder’s enemies, he ended up realizing that Browder was the criminal, the
whole Magnitizky story was a complete distortion, and Browder’s activities
reflected the worst of what was done to disintegrated USSR in the 1990s.
Here it is again:

In the Talmudo-Satanist hierarchy, Browder is near the bottom. In other words, he is what normal people would call ‘near the top’ of it.
It is interesting that while his grandfather was no doubt involved, with his friend Trotsky/Bronstein with fencing stolen goods from dead Russians to New York, the grandson actually went back to continue the plunder in situ.

Another biography of a Zion-Intel lifetime actor, from a blood-line of Jewish fakers and hoaxers. Hundreds, if not thousands, of these biographies will have to be written.
I bet one could trace the Browders back a dozen generations beyond Browder’s grandfather, Earl Browder, who was head of the Zion-Intel farce-creation called American Communist Party, and only find cheaters and frauds.

This is a logical fallacy. Yes, he is anti-Putin, but when he
made a documentary about Browder the latter turned against him, which opened
Nekrasov’s eyes. Read about it here:
http://www.thedailybeast.com/dissident-director-helped-trumps-russia-comrade-attack-us
Besides, one can be wrong on topic A and right on topic B.
It is rather appalling to see that a presumably adult person would fail to
realize that.
Don’t they teach basic logic anymore?!
o
on August 21, 2017 · at 11:16 pm UTC
Sadly, Saker, basic logic is a rare commodity, even in education these days. “Feelings,” not logic, rule the day, in many different ways. A couple of years ago, I was in a meeting at which an old Cold War warrior, a retired LTC Air Force pilot and erstwhile politician, was promoting the F35 program, and even supported it by extolling Browder’s book, Red Notice, as the “definitive evidence” of Putin’s untrustworthiness, against which we must certainly be heavily armed, and also of Putin’s “personal corruption,” when, if one speaks to any long time resident of St. Petersburg, one will be told that Putin was just about the only city official that one could go to for help, who would never ask for a bribe, a fact which Browder himself confirmed, until protecting his tax evasion and money laundering schemes became more important.
The lack of logical reasoning already had my head spinning, even before Browder’s book was mentioned. I couldn’t help blurting out that he, Browder, was a crook and couldn’t be trusted about anything. That didn’t go over very well in the meeting, given the herd mentality of confirmation bias and argumentum ad auctoritatem, regardless of real expertise. I was a nobody challenging a fairly high-ranking, respected, former air force officer, who was otherwise most charming and charismatic in his political office. I had already upset him by suggesting that the F35 is a lemon, and that we should stick with Boeing’s Super Hornet, until something better could be designed.
After the meeting, an immigrant from the Czeck Republic came over to speak with me privately. He told me that he agreed with what I had said, but was afraid to speak out in support and be shunned as I was. I had read enough of Browder’s self-serving testimony to recognize that it was full of logical gaps that could only exist if the story had been falsified, and if evidence to the contrary was being covered up.
Sadly, again, either Congress doesn’t have any grasp of logic, or it is so corrupt that it will accept any perjured testimony that confirms its bias and less than honourable intentions. There is, of course, a long track record of Congress accepting perjured testimony to support unsavoury geopolitical initiatives, and then there is in the current hypocritical demonization of President Trump over alleged but unproven Russian “interference” in his election. All the “evidence” ever presented is of the fallacious argumentum ad auctoritatem or argumentum ad verecundiam form. Ronald Reagan took an old Russian proverb for his own, “Доверяй, но проверяй” “trust, but verify.” Hence, no verification, no trust.
There are other commenters on this forum given to using fallacious logic to advance their opinions. Sometimes, it involves an ad hominem and an ad auctoritatem fallacy in the opening statement of an attempted rebuttal, which implies that the original commenter is very ignorant and that the responder is so very much better informed. The further implication being that the responder’s opinion should therefore carry the day unquestioned. If one does question, however, the responder becomes most indignant about this challenge to his or her “authority,” a classic “Flame Warrior” type.
Then, there is the oft used tu quoque fallacy, in which the bad behaviour of a second party is used to excuse or justify that of the first party. Two wrongs do not make a right. Even the late Zbigniew Brzezinski clearly understood the damage from failure to act logically, when he wrote, “[President George W. Bush] has a vision which can be described with two other words: Manichaean paranoia… the notion that he is leading the forces of good against the empire of evil, that in that setting, the fact that we are morally superior justifies us committing immoral acts. And that is a very dangerous posture for the country that is the number one global power. … The fact is he squandered our credibility, our legitimacy, and even respect for our power.” On the other hand, Presidents Putin and Al Assad have consistently acted in accordance with, and spoken out in support for, the Rule of International Law as the rational basis for international relations.
This forum is one of the few beacons of light penetrating the smoke and mirrors of our illusional and delusional world. To me, the appropriate respect, which should be paid to the contributors, other commenters and the readers, would be that all discussions be conducted as rationally as possible, and without any personal attacks and other provocations, which only lead to fruitless defensive and retaliatory remarks taking up space, and being of no benefit to increasing our understanding of the geopolitical machinations at play in the world.
Regards.

Total victory for the neocons after Trump surrender.
Be ready for never endingwars, a big war in Europe starting before the election in Russia (Volcker and mad dog are in Kiev today, Mac Master will arrive next week).
The Revolution Betrayed.
The exit of Steve Bannon, the President’s political strategist, from the White House and his return to Breitbart.com marks the defeat, if not quite the end, of the “isolationist” America First faction within the Trump administration. It is a victory for what I call the Junta – the coterie of generals who now surround President Trump, and appear to have captured the conduct of American foreign policy. It is a victory, in particular, for Gen. H. R. McMaster, who took over the National Security Agency after Michael Flynn’s ouster, and who is the architect of the “new” Afghanistan strategy – the one that is merely a reiteration of the old strategy.
Politico reports that the hawks in both parties are jubilant at Bannon’s departure: an Atlantic Council apparatchik tells us “Our European allies are happy,” and neocon grand dame Danielle Pletka hails the victory of the “internationalists” over the “isolationists.” The reason for the celebratory air, says Politico, is that the purge of Bannon “will remove an internal brake on U.S. military action abroad” – and this is an indicator of what we might expect in the not-so-distant future. Not only Afghanistan, but also Syria, Iran, and even Ukraine – all these are potential battlefields where US troops or our proxies will fight on behalf of the “globalist empire project.”

I just finished reading Killing of William Browder: Bill
Browder’s Dangerous Deception.
I found it a fascinating read. The writer gives a detailed and well documented
deconstruction of the lies of Bill Browder in the book Red Notice where Browder
instead of a hero turns out to be a vicious liar and an accomplice in the take
down of Russia in the 90ties by the Big Banks and oligarges, payed for by the
FED and the IMF. How this scheme was well planned and how it was realised was a
more than interesting read I have never seen so detailed before.
What was a big surprise and completely unknown to me is the fact that the US and Russia shared a very friendly relationship in the 1900. A very important history completely whipped out in our education system. The civil war was not only about abolishing slavery. The UK with France wanted to interfere in this conflict to weaken and divide the US because they thought the US became too powerful. Russia, Alexander II, had a very good and friendly relationship with the US, knew of this plan and prevented this invasion in 1863. This fact in the book is well documented by newspapers and several well known historians. The Russians were the heroes and cheered by the US citizens on a big parade on Broadway.
How would the people of the world react to the aggressive and demonising stories about bad Russia and evil Putin, had they known their true history? Stories created by the same Big Bank cabal which are ruining the US at the same time from the inside?
Is that the reason why Putin is so patient with the US, because in the 90ties Russia was attacked by this same Big Bank cabal and knows what the US is going through?
For me this book is an absolute must read.
Unfortunately I could not place the review on Amazon because I
had to few book orders. If any one would copy this comment to Amazon I would be
pleased.
Thank you mr. Krainer, I have learned a lot.

Hi Ingrid,
Thank you for reading and for your kind commentary. I think you got from the
book precisely what I tried to communicate.
Warm regards,
Alex.
§

Hi, Alex,
I just finished the book. Excellent.
In particular I appreciated the pretty detailed account of the role of Harvard U
and the HIID in the takedown of the Russian economy. I know from my work of the
destructed meted out also on other, creditable, HIID programs when the HIID
imploded because of the Russia scandal. I always hated Summers, even before the
Russia scandal came out. It boggles the mind to understand how he could have
been appointed president of Harvard, and how Schleifer could still be in place
on the faculty.
May I add a suggestion relating to the section of the book on
the Civil War?
In your discussion of the role of France and Britain in the American Civil War,
the importance of wheat exports is mentioned but there is no mention of the
role of cotton. That is like a discussion of wars in the Middle East with no
mention of oil.
I believe you cannot understand the role of Britain in the Civil War without
grasping the central role of American cotton in Britain’s industrialization
project. The textile industry was the central driver of industrialization of
Britain, and a central element of that drive and the channeling of other
countries’ wealth to England was the *deindustrialization* of other economies
(including India’s and potentially the USA’s). Actually, there is a fair amount
of information on this in the Wikipedia “Cotton” entry: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cotton
I won’t write in further detail on this here. I am not an expert, just making a
suggestion for further focus in the next edition of your book.
Regarding the role of slavery in the Civil War: Yes, Lincoln
made a number of statements on slavery. However, if you look behind the curtain
I think you will see that slavery actually was what it was all about, and
Lincoln recognized this: the integral relation of slavery to the expansion of a
potential empire on the doorstep of the Union, a deindustrialized slave empire
that would be controlled by the UK. A good source on this is the writing of the
historian Marthew Karp, This Vast Southern Empire,
http://www.hup.harvard.edu/catalog.php?isbn=9780674737259
Another interesting source on the actual historical importance of the Civil War is Colin Woodard’s “American Nations.” His chapter on the civil War is tellingly titled “The War for the West.”
I hope these idea resonate with you. I really enjoyed your book and appreciate the scholarship that is represents. May I also suggest professional copyediting for the next edition, so that the scholarship and writing are presented in the strongest way.

I got the free version on Amazon (that deal ends today, so hurry). Get it, but buy the book too in order to enlighten your friends and acquaintances about one of the biggest psychopathic narcissist Russophobes of this century – ‘Kill Bill’ Bowder. Also get it to refer to it in future, because unless Browder manages his planned ultimate act of onanistic narcissism – making a CIA-produced movie with him as the hero – his case should start broadly unraveling soon. Get it too, to support Alex Krainer’s heroic undertaking. I needed a bath after reading about Browder, and I am only one quarter of the way through.
That ‘Kill Bill’ must stop Nekrasov’s film from being shown is made clear by the evidence assembled against him in Krainer’s book. Once The Magnitsky Act is shown, the Cold War 2.0 will be exposed as a paranoid cover-up of criminal fraud (and probably worse) by a megalomaniac, which morphed into a CIA campaign for vengeance against Russia and Putin for refusing to play dead. That Russia ‘coming back’ has stopped the otherwise completed takeover of the planet by the Anglo-Zionists goes without saying.
I stayed up until four AM, reading aloud to my spouse until two AM.
To see the hoax of the century (second only to the WTC demolition cum fake casus belli) and the mind of the psychopath behind it picked apart in such fine detail is a meta-lesson in the power structures of our demonized and lost North America. That such people have been allowed not merely to live (a bad lapse in judgement) but to prosper and take over our governments is most terrifying to behold.
This low-potential, high-achieving venture-fund vulture, reverse Anti-Semite, fraud and criminal, self-promoting Khazar Judas, who calls himself Browder, is a satanist icon of what is wrong with not only America but most of the West today.
In ‘Diary of a Murderer’ – a twelve part Russian tele-drama about the Red Terror – A holy fool, upon seeing a squad of Zio-Bolsheviks approaching cries out: “Look! Look! Devils are taking human shape!” (Russian: “Smotrite! Cherti Ljudjatsja!”)
Devils, like Browder, have taken human form in Washington and Wall Street. What are we humans going to do about it?
Reading this book and spreading the word is a small start.
There is an organization called Lead Now which fights government and corporate (same thing now) collusion and excesses. I had always thought that it was pronounced Lead (as in ‘bullets’) Now. Many are now pointing out, lead seems inevitable in our futures.

Saker I just finished Russia’s Dead End by Andrei Kovalev. He is strongly against Yeltsin and Putin. He argues that even under Gorbachev and definitely after the failed coup the Security Apparatus really has control of Russia. Perhaps more to the point he thinks Putin’s anti-democratic measures are part of the refusal of the Russian Deep State to cede power. I am curious if you have read this book?

I bought this book on eBay and it’s an excellent read, highly recommend it for anyone interested in the subject. Its a great shame that it’s not able to reach a bigger audience.

The key words in the book’s title are: Dangerous Deceptions. You might also know these: ‘By deception we wage war’. I am buying Krainer’s book. Period.

I’ve read most of Alex’s book, and Amazon actually asked me to review it. For me it was a lot of confirmation bias or perhaps preaching to the choir. I need to get a paper copy to lend or give away, to try to help open some eyes. The following is the review I left;
“An interesting alternative view of Russia, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, and Bill Browder. Something every concerned American should read and consider, and then make up his or her own mind. Also some really good background on events in Russia since the fall of the Soviet Union and the subsequent rise and popularity of Pres. Putin.
His explanation of the Deflationary Gap in the Appendix helped to clarify several related ideas that I have picked up or thought of in the past, but never put together clearly the way Mr.Krainer does.”

Well, I got a reply from Amazon thanking me for my review, and from there I could see the other reviews, but sure enough, I could not find the book itself on Amazon.
I did, however, order a hard copy from Barnes & Noble, so I can have something to loan out to whoever I think may be able become informed.

some other relevant material:
From Armstrong economics:

And another view of Sergei
Magnitsky, allegedly as a “Finder”.

I’ve read some other material broadly supporting and extending bit Alex’s and Armstrongs’s view of state actors in a conspiracy. I’m well through the book, and find it well researched and written. The court scenes where Broder is challenged on the flight details are convincing.

Dear Mr. Krainer,
I got and read this book some time ago. I just want to express my appreciation for your work, and any time someone mentions the blasted “Mag” Act, and how corrupt Russia is, and the poor “lawyer” who was “murdered,” I just want to scream! Instead, I link commenters in various places to your beautiful book and highly recommend they read it to broaden their horizons a bit and stop believing fake news!
One thing I haven’t seen in the reviews of this book is just how hysterically FUNNY it is. You, sir, have a way with words that had me cackling like a fiend all throughout. My family thought I’d gone insane.
I salute you. I also posted a review on Amazon.
